Early morning murder in Port Gibson

CLAIBORNE COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Claiborne County Sheriff's Department is investigating an early morning murder in Port Gibson.

The fatal shooting happened at Henry Lee's night club sometime between 1:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Saturday. The club is located on Bessie Weathers Road.

Claiborne County Sheriff Marvin Lucas told WLBT that Ivory Anderson was shot and killed. James Evans was also shot. Evans survived and is in a Claiborne County hospital.

Sheriff Lucas said one person has been arrested. No motive for the shooting has been released.
