JPD investigate armed robbery at north Jackson apartment

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

JPD officers were on the scene of an armed robbery and shooting at North Hill Square Apartments, located at 1000 Northside Drive.

The incident happened shortly after 8p.m. Saturday evening.

JPD Officer Colendula Green said two Hispanic men drove into the apartment complex and were approached by two black males.

According to investigators, the men threatened the two Hispanic males then pulled out a gun  and robbed them.

One Hispanic male was shot in the leg. Police say his condition is non life threatening.

Both armed robbers fled.

The investigation is ongoing.
