Benefit concert to be held for Copiah crash victims' family

CRYSTAL SPRINGS, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The outpouring of support for a Copiah County family continues this week, after four relatives were killed in a traffic accident.

You may recall, Joan Teasley, 67, Gavin Tompkins, 6, Gunner Tompkins, 3, and 15 month-old MaKenna Bass were killed in a Wednesday morning traffic accident in Crystal Springs.

WLBT has learned a benefit concert will be held Friday night at Railroad Park in Crystal Springs.

Local band Soulshot is scheduled to perform.

The show kicks off at 7 p.m. All proceeds will go to the victim's family.

Teasley was the children's great-grandmother.

Her 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt collided with an 18-wheeler at the intersection of Highway 27 and Lee Drive, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
