JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Five people have been taken to the hospital following a two vehicle accident at Highway 473 and Rosemary Road, in Hinds County.

Investigators say a mother and daughter headed south in an Impala were hit by a Chevy truck carrying two adults and a child.

Another vehicle not involved may have blocked the view of the oncoming truck.  All passengers were wearing seatbelts and their injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

Trooper Timothy Fuller of the Mississippi Highway Patrol says, "From what I understood the Chevy Impala was attempting to make a left turn and with the car being in front of them they were unable to see the traffic coming northbound, made a left turn in front of the truck, the truck t-boned them in the passenger side."

One was transported by helicopter and four by ambulance. All passengers were wearing seatbelts and their injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
