Shoppers line up early for Thanksgiving night deals

FLOWOOD, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Shopping carts lined the front of Target in Flowood to form a line for customers. Many stood or sat there for hours.

For some shoppers it's a tradition for others, it's their first time looking for Black Friday deals.

"This is the only time my husband lets me shop. So, it's deer hunting for him and shopping for me," said experienced shopper Winnie Jackson.

"I'm confident I'm gonna get it (a television). I can already see it through the doors," said first time Thanksgiving night shopper Emily McGuffee. She was the first in line at Target.

"I have a friend who is gonna be waiting in line at Belk for me and her, so we can get their card and get some stuff there. Then I'm going to Kohl's," explained shopper Virginia Ward.@

TV's were the most desired item for shoppers we spoke with.

Many came with a plan to take advantage of the low prices, even if they weren't buying Christmas presents.

"A new TV. Entertainment center stuff, just moved into a new house. So, I want a new TV to go with it," said Gabrielle Pickle.

"Went and got Black Ops 2, about to get a TV and a speaker system," said shopper Chance Jones.

Many folks, who planned to shop through the morning, brought snacks and drinks to fuel their shopping rush.
