CRYSTAL SPRINGS, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The band SoulShot lit up the stage in downtown Crystal Springs on Friday night to raise money for the Teasley family.

"It's one of the most horrible things that you can think of for a family to go through. So, we're just gonna come together, do what we can, maybe ease a little pain for her you know," said lead singer Wade Rhodes.

Joan Teasley, 67, Gavin Tompkins, 6, Gunner Tompkins,3, and 15-month-old Makenna Bass were all killed when an 18-wheeler hit their vehicle at the intersection of Highway 27 and Lee Avenue last week.

Rebecca Teasley, the mother of the children killed in the accident, was at the benefit concert. She has been overwhelmed by how the community has comforted her family.

"I feel so blessed just to have so many people supporting not only myself, but you know my son's family and my daughter's family," said Teasley.

Despite her loss, Teasley is finding healing in her faith.

"The first day was the hardest day of my life but all these people's prayers and support, I mean world-wide, you know is... I really don't know how I would have made it without the prayers."

Donations were accepted at the concert.
