Lincoln County Circuit Clerk runoff - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
Lincoln County voters selected a new circuit clerk Tuesday night.
With 32 of 32 precincts reporting, Dustin Bairfield has 2,483, 53% of the votes, and Janie Sisco 2,173 with 47%.
There were five write-in votes.
Bairfield and Sisco were in a runoff to serve the remaining three years of former Clerk Terry Lynn Watkins' unexpired term.
Sherry Jordan has been interim circuit clerk since Watkins' resignation.
Watkins pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge in January, a week into her fifth term, and resigned.
