JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Miskelly's Furniture "Season of Giving" continued Wednesday morning for one fortunate woman in Jackson. Miskelly's crews were on site to help Mary Scott feel like her new apartment was home.

Scott has been rehabilitated after three years in a nursing home, and now she's back on her own feet at Buford Yerger Retirement Center. She just moved in but did not have any furniture.

Care specialists from her former nursing home saw her need and immediately nominated her to be a Season of Giving recipient. Scott says she felt so blessed to be nominated and get chosen.

"It's wonderful, the first thing I though was thank you God," Scott exclaimed as joyful tears streamed down her cheeks. "The Lord knew what my needs were."

Nominations for Season of Giving continues for a few more weeks. The last day to nominate a family in need this Christmas season is Monday, December 10.
