One person dead following house fire in Talco

TALCO, TX (KLTV) -

One person is dead after a home caught fire Sunday afternoon in Talco.

Officials say the home located in the 200 block of 3rd street in Talco caught fire Sunday afternoon.

Mt. Pleasant, Talco, Sugarhill, Winfield, Fivestar, Nortex and Trylakes fire crews all responded to the scene but were unable to save the home which is a total loss. The person who died in this fire has not yet been identified.

Crews have extinguished the flames and will continue to investigate the cause of this fire.
