BRANDON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Rankin County family who lost their home to a fire in October received a special holiday surprise Monday afternoon. Jed and Stacey Mooney are this week's recipients of Miskelly Furniture's "Season of Giving."

Workers unloaded living room furniture complete with sofa and loveseat at their rental home in Brandon. The couple also received bedroom furniture for their four children.

More than 200 submissions came in nominating the Mooney family.

Jed Mooney teaches at Northwest Rankin High School and his wife Stacey is a teacher at Northshore Elementary.

The last day to nominate a family in need is Monday December 10th.
