ATTALA COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Fire destroyed a vehicle in Attala County Friday morning.

Firefighters responded to the blaze on Attala Road 1154 just before 2 a.m.

The caller said her truck was on fire in front of her home near the Green Acres Subdivision.

Fire crews arrived to a fully engulfed SUV not far from the owner's trailer. Because of a gas leak, it was difficult for firefighters to battle the blaze, but they were able to keep it away from the home.

The flames from the SUV were brought under control just after 2:30.
