MONTGOMERY, AL -

Alabama Governor Robert Bentley on Monday will join the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs for the 2012 Wreaths Across America Statehouse Ceremony.

Wreaths Across America Statehouse Ceremonies will be held in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Alabama's Statehouse Ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the auditorium of the State Capitol.

Following the ceremony, a wreath will be taken from the auditorium to the Fallen Heroes Memorial Wall in the Old Supreme Court Chamber on the first floor of the Capitol.

All Statehouse Ceremonies nationwide will pay tribute to America's fallen service members while also honoring those who currently serve.

The ceremonies are held in advance of Wreaths Across America Day, which is Saturday, December 15.

On that day, more than 400,000 wreaths will be placed on the gravesites of fallen veterans at cemeteries across the country.
