Candlelight Christmas Tour

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The serious buildings of state government have been transformed into light-hearted holiday Wonderlands.

Instead of lobbyists, a band played traditional Christmas tunes as holiday tourists sampled treats. Christmas trees, antique toys, model trains and other free, fun family events are going on in downtown Jackson.

The Mississippi Department of Archives and History is making sure all of its sites are festive.

Carols and other holiday songs filled the old capitol rotunda for "Sounds of the Season."

New to the annual candlelight tour this year is the Eudora Welty House.
