Police asking for help locating missing Longview man

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

The Longview Police Department is looking for a local man after his truck was found abandoned in a local parking lot.

On December 8, 2012, Longview police took a missing persons report for Ronnie Joe Gammage, a 27-year-old male from Longview. Gammage, who is 6'8" tall and weighs 265 pounds, usually dressed in Western attire. He suffers from a mental disability which can hinder his ability to make sound judgements.

Gammage last spoke to his mother on December 4. His vehicle, a tan Chevrolet pickup, was found abandoned in the parking lot of Waffle House on 318 East Loop 281 in Longview. The vehicle's tires had been slashed.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Gammage is asked to call Detective David Cheatham with the Longview Police Department at 903-237-1147.
