Prior to implementing SyteLine in 1999, H & H relied on Varnet – a Progress-based software system – to manage operations. A continually growing business and increased operational needs prompted H & H to move to SyteLine for its robust asset management capabilities. Today, over a decade later, H & H looks forward to upgrading to the latest version. “Before SyteLine, we would have to feed our financials out of Varnet into another system,” said Sandy Gorcyca, IT manager at H & H. “But now everything is streamlined – our financials are combined with manufacturing, and the upgrade offers us even more possibilities for greater efficiency,” she continued.

The SyteLine upgrade gives H & H the opportunity to make much needed updates to server and client machines, but the company is most excited about using grids to extract data. “After the implementation, we will be able to extract data faster, and the integration with Excel will allow us to transfer this data directly into a spreadsheet,” said Gorcyca. “More importantly, our customers will be able to see current pricing information for metal, which is now only visible on the back end. Giving customers this critical information is huge for us,” explained Gorcyca.
