Bedroom television bad for the waistline

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Children who have a television in their bedroom are at a higher risk for obesity.

A new study of over 350 kids found children with a bedroom T-V had more fat mass and a higher waist circumference compared to their peers who didn't have one.

A bedroom television was also linked to higher rates of diabetes, heart disease and high cholesterol.

Researchers say these kids tend to watch more T-v and are more likely to skip more healthy activities like exercise, sleep and family meals.
