A production company is in the Metro area looking for actors to fill spots needed in a faith-based film being recorded in Jackson. The production company producing the film is Bearfruit Films, and they are hosting a casting call Wednesday and Thursday.
Open casting calls will be held at the Cabot Lodge at 120 Dyess Road in Ridgeland Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 13 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Those wanting to audition are asked to bring a headshot and resume to the location. If you do not have a head shot and resume, bring a snap shot to leave with the casting director.
The roles available for the film include:
- Drew: 16 to 18-year-old male with strong acting skills. Prefer a thin actor since Drew is an underground Christian.
- Bearded Man: prefer scruffy beard, strong acting skills.
- Beth: 25 to 35-year-old female, beautiful Christian underground member
- Friendly Woman: 25 to 35-year-old female, no southern accent, beautiful voice and face, Caucasian
- Enlin: 30ish male, underground Christian
- Commander: Strong Actor, 45 to 65-years-old
- Twenty soldiers: some will have lines. Must fit the uniforms so 5'10 - 6'2". 30 - 32 inch waist, 40 - 42 jacket. Prefer athletes or military training.
- Rebels and gang leaders: male and female, all ethnicities
- Refugees: featured extra roles for husband, wife, teen
