Two MPD officers shot, taken to the MED

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – We are on the scene of a shooting in the 1000 block of Mendenhall Cove near Summer Ave. and I-40. That is where two Memphis police officers have been shot. And we know both have been taken to the MED in critical condition. 

We have been told the suspect might have been shot as well. 

The shooting happened around 8:00 a.m.

A man who lives in the neighborhood where the shooting happened, said he heard about 20 shots ring out this morning. He also said the house is a drug house. 

Action News 5's Justin Hanson is at the scene of the shooting working to find out more information. Amy Speropoulos is reporting live from the MED as well.
