SUV flips at Lakeland Drive exit

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The driver of an SUV escapes serious injury after her vehicle flips while exiting I-55 Sunday night.

The Nissan SUV landed on its side after the accident, just before 8 p.m. at the I-55 north Lakeland Drive exit.

Tire tracks show where the vehicle left the roadway shortly after getting off the interstate. The unidentified driver walked to an ambulance.

The exit remained open while crews worked to clear the scene. Jackson police are investigation the crash. It is not clear at this time what caused the driver to crash.
