Wednesday's Child: Milton

Posted: Updated:

He is the oldest in a sibling group of five. 12-year-old Milton is known as the family historian. He's 7th grade and says he wants to be a soldier or play in the NFL. It is his Christmas wish to be adopted on this week's Wednesday's Child.

Milton has four sisters and he has a very special bond with them. He likes telling them who they are named after and other important family events.

"They're my sisters and I want to take care of them", said Milton.

Milton is a huge football fan. His favorite player is Reggie Bush.

"You want to play in the NFL. Who's your team, what team do you like? The Saints. Reggie Bush, he's on the Dolphins", Milton said.

He likes school, but says he has some work to do in one subject.

"I like math and English. That's the only thing I've got to work on cause, I have trouble in English", said Milton.

He takes pride in his appearance and enjoys shopping for new clothes. Milton takes special care of his things especially his prized MP3 player. Milton has been featured several times on Wednesday's Child with his sister. He talked with us about adoption and his hope for a permanent family. He did have one wish if he's not adopted.

"To be 18. You want to be 18? Why do you want to be 18? Cause I'll be out of DHS", Milton said.

Social workers tells us Milton would benefit from a two parent home with a strong male figure. Milton is just hoping this is the last holiday season he will spend without his sisters and without what he calls a real family.
