Train collided with pickup truck in Rankin County

RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Emergency responders were called to a train versus truck collision around 7:30a.m. Saturday morning in Rankin County.

The accident happened on Dixie Road and Old Highway 49 in Star.

Two train engines going at a slow speed collided into a pick-up truck crossing the tracks.

The driver of the pick-up truck was transported to Baptist Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
