Car hits 18 wheeler, sends occupants to hospital

ATTALA COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

An 18 wheeler accident sent two people to the hospital in Attala County.

The accident happened on Highway 12 east some time after 3 p.m. Friday evening.

According to reports, the big rig was backing into the street when it was struck by a Pontiac Grand Prix.

The 16-year-old driver and 39-year-old passenger, both females, in the car were injured. Both were taken to a local hospital.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
