Deer Gets Stuck in Jackson Family's Fence

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

It's been an eventful Christmas Eve for one Jackson family.

John and Patsy Ainsworth woke up to a call from their neighbor on Avery Circle early Monday morning.

The man thought someone was trying to break in when he heard the iron fence rattling. As he got closer he realized it was...a deer!

The family called animal control and they were able to free the deer. However, he ran straight into a fence on the other side of the house. He was freed after several hours but had to be put down because of extensive injuries.
