Clinton firefighters battle apartment fire

CLINTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Firefighters in Clinton scrambled to an apartment complex on Highway 80 East early Wednesday morning.  When Clinton Fire Department crews arrived flames were shooting out the roof of building H at Hunter Oaks Apartment.      

Firefighters were called to the complex at 1401 Highway 80 East at 4:58 AM.  Of the eight units three suffered damage.      

Two of those damaged apartments had people living in them and everyone made it out safely, according to Clinton Fire officials.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
