211 reported collisions on Miss. roads over holiday

The Mississippi Highway Patrol has released information related to crashes throughout the state over the Christmas holiday.

According to a press release from Master Sergeant Johnny Poulos, there were five fatalities on Mississippi roads between Dec. 21 and midnight Dec. 25. One of those fatalities occurred in the Jackson area.

Poulos states Troop C responded to 13 collisions within the Jackson and surrounding areas over the Christmas weekend. Troopers across the state responded to a total of 211 collisions, with four being alcohol related. The information below details where the accidents occurred and which troop covers each part of the state.

  • Troop F - New Albany, District 4
