Vicksburg residents are being ordered to boil their water after a loss of pressure at the water treatment facility.
Brown Water flowed from faucets and into washing machines at homes Saturday morning.
According to the Vicksburg Action Line an electrical outage around 6:30 last night at the city's water treatment facility caused circuits to malfunction.
Water pressure has been restored, but about 9,300 residents are affected.
They are customers in the city of Vicksburg and those who are served through the Yokena-Jeff Davis Water System.
Residents are urged to bring water to a vigorous boil for two minutes before consuming.
