A $1 million movie is being shot in Jackson, and actors were out and about in full costume Wednesday afternoon. The full length feature film, "Rumors Of War" is based on a story about the year 2040 when most of the Christians have gone, according to the movie summary.
According to the movie makers, the Christians are hiding out in enclaves and a New World Order, called the Alliance, has taken over. Christians are being told "join us or we will kill you." The filming began in the metro area and the crew used several location throughout the capitol city to make the movie come to life.
Bear Fruit Films out of Phoenix, Arizona is making the full length feature movie. The film crew used the old armory at the State Fairgrounds Wednesday afternoon as their backdrop for a few scenes. In addition, the team has borrowed an armored car from the Rankin County Sheriff's Office to use as a prop in the film.
Although an exact date was not given, movie producers say you can look forward to seeing the film in a movie theater near you, soon.
