Miss. man pleads guilty in attacks on blacks

It's nice to see the sunshine again, even though it's a little chilly in the metro on this Thursday afternoon. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

A sixth man has pleaded guilty in connection with racially motivated attacks by young whites against blacks in Jackson.

Plus, the body of an 18-year-old man was discovered on the side of a road in Warren County, just outside of Vicksburg, early Wednesday morning. There is a suspect and police are looking for him.

Also, the city of Jackson and a global corporation have agreed to a $90 million deal that Mayor Harvey Johnson Jr. has called the largest infrastructure project in the city's history.

And, if you've never seen a Blue Angel, now's the time at the Mississippi Air National Guard Base in Flowood.

In sports, Ole Miss continues its preps for the Compass Bowl.

Clear skies and 49 degrees in the metro. Don't miss your full First Alert Forecast.

Of course, you'll see any breaking news first on WLBT and you can follow us on Facebook, Twitter and www.msnewsnow.com.
