Leake County crash kills 2

LEAKE COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Two Carthage men were killed in a near head-on collision in Leake County Thursday.

Mississippi Highway Patrol officials say it happened just after noon on Highway 16 two miles west of Edinburg.

Rufus Tubby, 59, was traveling east when his vehicle collided with a pick-up truck traveling west driven by 52-year-old Bobby Jayroe, according to MHP. Both men were killed in the collision.

No other injuries were reported. The highway patrol is continuing to investigate the accident.
