RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

When a Ridgeland consignment shop owner realized her prized mirrored mannequin had been stolen from its position on the businesses front deck, she took to Facebook to find the culprit.

The Repeat Street Consignments owner realized the mannequin was gone Dec. 22 and filed a police report with the Ridgeland Police Department. The store owner reviewed the surveillance tape and watched as a woman removed the mannequin from a cast iron tub where it is normally kept at the 242 Highway 51 location and placed the item into her vehicle.

Ridgeland Police Department Lieutenant John Neal reports the suspect, 29-year-old Christina Sullivan, returned to the store and can be seen picking up various items of clothing on the surveillance cameras and gathering numerous items before strolling past the cash register and heading out the door.

Ridgeland Police took the video for their investigation, but not before the consignment shop owner posted it to the Repeat Street Consignments Facebook page. Within a matter of days, Facebook users contacted the store owner identifying the woman as Christina Sullivan of Flora.

Investigators were able to get an arrest warrant of Sullivan on the charge of grand larceny. Sullivan was arrested Jan. 3 and is currently being held in the Madison County Jail on $5,000 bond.

Sullivan's first court appearance will be Jan. 7.

Police were able to recover several pieces of merchandise, along with the mirrored mannequin, from Sullivan's mobile home in Flora.

Once the mannequin was returned to her home, Facebook comments poured in with support for the store.

"Yay!!! She's home, FINALLY!" wrote Lara Johnson. Karen Robison adds, "That is great news!"
