JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Legends of the racing world gave fans a thrill this weekend at the Mississippi Trade Mart.

The 25th annual BankPlus Racing Vehicle Extravaganza attracted thousands.

NASCAR great Bobby Allison was at Saturday's event meeting fans and signing autographs.

The annual showcase of radical custom, race and performance vehicles is a big draw for racing enthusiasts.

More than 175 vehicles are on display.

One of the most requested and most popular exhibitors is racing legend Ellis Palasini of Leland Mississippi.

"He's the winningest driver ever in the State of Mississippi. This car behind us is the V-8. This car has won over a thousand feature races in the guy's lifetime. He's 82-years-old, and he's the Dale Earnhart of dirt. He's right here in Mississippi," said Bill Bissell with the Mississippi Racing Vehicle Extravaganza.

The excitement continues Sunday from 10a.m. to 6 p.m.
