JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Shortly after a strong-arm robbery at a Dollar General store Sunday night, Jackson police had a suspect in custody.
A cashier at the store, located at 340 E. Fortification St., was robbed around 5:30. Police arrested a suspect by 6 p.m.
Police say they believe this was a case of "till-tapping," which is when a person distracts a cashier and then takes money from a register. They say in this incident, the person asked the cashier for change before grabbing cash from the register.
No injuries were reported.
