Trial date set in buttocks injection murder

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A trial date has been set for a transsexual accused of administering a fatal cosmetics procedure in Jackson.

Tracey Lynn Garner faces several serious criminal charges, including murder. She's set to go to trial on April 8 in Judge Winston Kidd's Hinds County Circuit Courtroom.

Karima Gordon drove from Atlanta in March of last year to receive a buttocks enhancement from Garner. She died three days after receiving the injection of the silicone-like substance.

Adult entertainer Natasha Stewart is also charged in the case. Authorities say Gordon paid Stewart $200 for a referral to Garner, under the false claim that Garner was a medical professional.

Stewart was arrested January 3 in Shelby County, Tennessee. As of Wednesday morning, she had not yet been served in Hinds County.
