Tanker fire shutdowns I-55

Good Wednesday morning from Mississippi News Now's Brandon Artiles!

We've had a trade-off weather-wise this morning.  It's significantly warmer at 57 degrees, but a lot of rain is coming with it. Much of that rain is already hitting the area and meteorologist Paul Williams will let us know how heavy it will get in his First Alert Forecast.

Happening right now, Interstate 55 north bound in Madison County is shutdown after an 18-wheeler hauling fuel ignites. We'll let you know how long the shutdown is expected to last and the condition of the truck's driver.

Plus, new evidence reveals that the Georgia woman who died after receiving silicone injections in her buttocks in Jackson last year may have been lied to about who was doing the procedure.

And happening today, Vice President Joe Biden leads the first of several meetings aimed at opening the conversation on gun control measures.

All those stories and much more are headed your way at the top of the hour.

Please join us from 5 to 7 and for more Mississippi News Now, flip over to Fox 40 from 7 to 9.

Try to stay dry and have a great Wednesday!
