Smith County authorities say missing man has been found unharmed

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Smith County Sheriff Larry R. Smith says John R. Purdue, the individual reported missing on Wednesday night, has been found unharmed.

The Smith County Sheriff's Office initially took a report at this time of an individual missing from the area of Highway 31 West and FM 2661 in southwestern Smith County.

79-year-old Purdue suffers from dementia. He was found at a convenience store in Sanger Texas. His family has been notified and are happy about his safe return.
