The use of alternative medicine is increasing among children especially those with chronic conditions.
A Canadian study of two specialty health clinics found almost half of patients were using alternative therapies along with conventional medical care.
More than half reported combining alternative medicines with prescription drugs to treat their condition.
The most common therapies were massage, aromatherapy and relaxation along with the use of vitamins, homeopathics and herbal remedies.
