Three on Your Side received a complaint about potholes in the parking lot at Candlestick Park Shopping Center in south Jackson. The shopping center, located on Cooper Road, is also the location of the Jackson Police Department's Precinct One.
The parking lot is filled with potholes, some of them quite large. It is on private property but there are two places there where the general public has to go; A police precinct, and a post office.
Both places say they have complained to the city of Jackson about the problem. Our call to Three on Your Side call came from Rollyns Bush, who lives nearby.
"They are deep and I am just amazed that they have been here for over a year," said Bush. "I dodge them every time I come through the parking lot, dropping mail off. I am surprised somebody hasn't reported it before now."
The owner of the property says his family just bought it two weeks ago.
Fred Musa says his family, Musa Family Properties out of Shreveport, will have work done on the worst potholes in two weeks and plans to repave the parking lot within six months.
