Byram man, 27, killed as car hits tree

MADISON COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Byram man was killed when his car hit a tree in Madison County Wednesday night.

According to Cpl. Odis Easterling with the Mississippi Highway Patrol a Toyota Camry driven by 27-year-old Pierre Fields was traveling south on Highway 43 near Sharon when it ran off the road to the right shortly after 10:30. The vehicle overturned and hit a tree.

Fields was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
