HINDS COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A car crash near Bolton has traffic at a stand still on Interstate 20 Friday morning.
According to witnesses who sat in standstill traffic in the eastbound lanes of I-20, it appeared a van hauling a trailer flipped across the lanes of the interstate, bringing other drivers to a complete halt for more than an hour.
Cpl. Odis Easterling with Mississippi Highway Patrol says troopers are headed to the scene of the crash, but as of 9 a.m. had no officers at the location. Easterling could not confirm details as to what may have caused the crash or how many victims were involved until highway patrol units arrived on scene.
Drivers are urged to use caution and expect delays if traveling I-20 east near Bolton.
