Father and daughter killed in accident on I-110

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

A father and daughter were killed in an early Saturday morning accident. Harrison County Deputy Coroner Charles Wise said 5-year-old Ashlin Hernandez and Alex Hernandez, who was in his 30s, both died from head and neck trauma.

According to Wise the father was driving one of the cars involved in the accident and was wearing his seat belt.

Biloxi Police received a call around 5:15am after two vehicles collided in the southbound lane of I-110.

Three people were taken to the hospital, no word on their condition.

The accident is still under investigation. WLOX will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
