Crowds lined Martin Luther King Jr. Drive for the annual MLK Parade in Jackson. Children enjoyed dancing to the beats of the marching bands and catching lots of candy.
This year's MLK celebration was even more special to many in the crowd, because Dr. King's holiday, Monday, January 21st is the same day as President Barack Obama's second inauguration.
"A lot of people didn't think we were going to make it a second time and it means a great deal to us to let us know that people are changing, the world is changing and those that have been least have become first," said Rachel Earley, one of the many along the parade route.
Saturday marked Jackson's 31st MLK parade.
