JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
The rain and snow is gone, but area waterways continue to reach flood levels.
Sunday afternoon folks were looking for higher ground to cast out a line at the Reservoir Spillway.
Gates were open, allowing water to fill what would normally be a boat landing.
The reservoir has been above its full pool level since Tuesday. It now stands at nearly 302 feet.
Many fishermen are hoping with the Spillway gates open, they'll be able to haul in more big catches.
