ADAMS COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A 22-year-old Natchez man has had another run in with the law after the parents of two Adams County teenagers filed charges against him Wednesday evening. A spokesperson with the Adams County Sheriff's Office says David Ellis was arrested and booked into the detention center around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials say the parents of a 14 and 15-year-old filed charges claiming Ellis bought alcohol for their children. Ellis, who is currently on probation after being convicted of selling controlled substances, now faces two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. In his 2010 conviction, Ellis was sentenced to five years jail time, all suspended, and placed on probation for four years.
Ellis was released Thursday afternoon just before 1 p.m. on a $1,000 bond. His first court appearance will be Feb. 26.
