Barging in

Good Monday morning from Mississippi News Now's Brandon Artiles!

This morning's temperature will have you doing a double-take at the calendar. 61 degrees already and we'll be in the 70s by the afternoon.  It won't be all sunshine though as meteorologist Paul Williams is tracking some rain which will hit us this week.  He'll let us know when in his First Alert Forecast.

Making headlines, clean up continues on the Mississippi River after a barge crashed into a railroad piling. Now, officials fear that some of the 80,000 gallons of oil being carried on the barge has contaminated the water. Jessica Bowman will have live reports from the banks of the river in Vicksburg.

Plus, the death toll keeps climbing after a pyrotechnics mishap at a Brazilian night club sparked a fire that has killed hundreds.

And, an Interstate 20 exit in Pearl could cause you major delays with a construction project underway.  We'll help you with your commute.

All those stories and much more are headed your way at the top of the hour.

Please join us from 5 to 7 and for more Mississippi News Now, we've got you covered on Fox 40 from 7 to 9.

Have a great Monday!
