Cleanup continues on barge oil spill

Good Monday afternoon. I'm Howard Ballou, back from a little time off, with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

The Coast Guard and EPA remain at the scene of a barge accident on the Mississippi River at Vicksburg. Ten miles of the river is closed to traveling vessels after the incident that happened 1 AM Sunday.

Plus, state leaders are now able to put a face on a bill before them which would change the way the Mississippi combats sexual abuse against children.

And, a civil case hits court today involving Southaven Mayor Greg Davis. The state auditor says the elected official owes the city money. 

In sports, a look at the Mississippi connection to the Super Bowl.
