An east Valley teenager accused of threatening to kill her classmates and blow up her high school posted the plot online, according to a video of her interrogation in December.
CBS 5 News obtained an interrogation video in which the teenager was interviewed by a Maricopa County sheriff's deputy.
Throughout the interview, the girl fought back tears as she tried to answer the deputy's questions.
She sat quietly as the deputy read the message the girl allegedly wrote online.
"I now, literally, have a plan of seriously hurting, killing and murdering people in my high school and list to do it, too," said the deputy, as he read the letter.
Authorities intercepted the threat, contacted the girl's parents and brought the teenager in for questioning.
During the interrogation, the teen admitted asking her parents if they had any guns in the house, but said that she never had any intention of hurting anyone.
She just wanted someone to talk to.
CBS 5 News is not releasing the name of the teenager.
"I was scared. I lost control of my thoughts, not really my action, because I can't really do anything," the teenager said. "I guess I am still sane right now. I don't want to blow up the school ... It's just irrational thoughts I have. I just want to talk to someone about it."
The incident had students and teachers from Red Mountain High School in Mesa on edge, but no one was ever hurt.
It is unclear what charges the teen will face.
