Fire damages Jackson townhomes

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson fire damaged at least two townhomes late Tuesday night off of Jamestown Way at the Jamestown Townhouses complex.

Chief Fire Investigator Gregory Travis says that just before midnight crews were called to 1902 Jamestown Way in Jackson. While the investigation is ongoing, Travis says it appears a fire began in an upstairs unit of some townhomes.

Residents were inside the units at the time of the blaze, but Travis confirms everyone made it out of the building safely.

Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire and have not yet determined what may have sparked the blaze.
