Clarksville woman claims to be president, accused of assaulting officer

CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Clarksville woman who claimed she is the President of the United States is facing assault and public intoxication charges.

Police said Tasha Taylor, 26, was stumbling down Jefferson Street on Feb. 2 when an officer noticed her.

The Clarksville officer said she was slurring her words and could not stand up.

After claiming she was the president, the police report said Taylor got mad and starting kicking the officer.

Police arrested her and she's being charged with public intoxication and assault.
