One person dead after shooting at Tyler mall, shooter in custody

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

The Tyler Police Department has confirmed one person is dead following a shooting at Broadway Square Mall. The shooting happened around 9:15 Saturday morning in the JC Penney parking lot.

According to police, the victim, a 23-year-old black male, came to the mall and got into an altercation with three or four other people inside the mall.

We have a crew on the scene as police are gathering information about the shooting.
