JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Police undercover and K-9 units converged on a home in Northwest Jackson Saturday night.

The bust shut down a suspected crack cocaine operation.

JPD Officer Colendula Green says the undercover surveillance ended with the arrests of suspected operators of a drug house in the 13 hundred block of Johnston Street. That's off Livingston Road.

Around 6:30 p.m. Saturday evening Jackson Precinct 3 officers converged on the house.

A canine unit assisted officers with searching the premises.

Six people, one woman and five men, were arrested.

The location is believed to be a site of crack sales and point for delivery.

The six taken into custody are charged with possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute.

Their names have not been released.

Investigators also confiscated crack cocaine, one gun, cash and cell phones.
